A few days ago we sent an email to Multivision asking them to whether Comet Digital will be a reality or not. We are happy to say that Multivision has assured that Comet Digital will be operational by the end of this year. Given below is a copy of the email sent to us by Multivision.

We would like to see Comet Cable honouring their word and implementing and launching the Comet Cable Digital service by the end of this year. We would also like to thank Mr. Harold Perera for taking time off his busy schedule and looking into the requests of their customers.

Dear Sir,
We would like to point out that there are several of your customers are awaiting with anticipation the launch of Comet Digital.
We are also being told that many have been sold connections saying that the digital lauch will take place soon. Please tell us whether you will be launching Comet Cable digital anytime soon or has the idea being dropped and you are planning to stay with analog.
Some of your customers have been told by your marketing excutives that the Digital transmitting towers have already been installed and that you are awaiting the arrival of the digital decoders and now a considerable amount of time has passed.
How long does it take for the Digital Decoders to arrive?
We require a reply from you immediately regarding the status of the launch of Comet Digital.

Thank you for your reply however as comet user i must say how dissapointed we are with what your saying surely if you'll have finished the planning phase im sure you'll have a date in mind and not just say end of the year which is neither here or there specailly after promising this ages ago
please try n shed more light on this specially like what new channels and services would be on offer as that is what most of us are interested in

just my 5 cents worth Having being a customer of COmet Cable from 2000 to date through all the Management changes,shutting down of star,espn channels and everything I will be very,very surprised if Comet goes digital by "end of the year"

If not for the current situation with CBNSAT, I was going to change over as the transmission is not good in the Ja-Ela & Kandana areas. I hope the digital system will soon be implimented or else I will change over although the cost is much higher
Just fairy tales as usual,They never can and this is a gimmik to satisfy the die hard comet customers.

Yes 3006 is a possibility.
Digital or what ever, ensure it has the nessesary licences.
or a better licence could be suggested, tie up with Mr. SatNet, this will be the licence to bypass all laws and licences in the land.
