It is now two months since the latest round of "Comet Digital" rumors started and well nothing has happened so far. We are having doubts whether this was all started by Comet Cable to prevent the loss of subscribers to either Dialog TV/LBN/Dish TV or some small cable operator in your area which has more channels than Comet Cable for a lesser cost.
There has been no official communication from Comet Cable regarding this. Nothing regarding the new owners. Everyones in the dark, even their employees probably don't know what is going on. Several years ago a rumor like this started and the website was updated with digital plans but nothing materialized. Will it be the same this time, well only time will tell? To be fair we should also take into account that deploying a digital network and getting it up and running is no simple task however with no visible progress things don't seem to be that good.
We hope that Comet Management will reveal who they are first and then officially unveil their digital plans with a time frame so that subscribers who are frustrated and want to make a switch would be retained.

Does anyone have Comet Digital yet?
A friend of mine said that he already has Comet Digital with 81 channels (10 local). Is is true. He isn't exactly the most trustable, so can anyone confirm.

comet is out from morning all the channels for me. phoned customer care said some power problem at base station. it came back to 45 min or so now again its gone.. (12:15PM)

Spoke to Customer Service just now.
They have as yet not received the Decoders. However they said that Comet will go digital next month (November)
ya i called them to. but the guy who answered me said . cant confirm date will inform the customers when we go digital... its crap answer anyway
I've been with comet for 7 years now. if comet keeps on postponing going digital I will move away from comet.
I called comet and said what do i have to do in case i want to disconnect. and i said i may disconnect because the commet digital is nothing but a lie. she just laughed and told me the procedure the disconnect. i was amazed.... something is defenetely wrong...:-(

Commet Cable will close down in 1 to 3 months. most of the channells are cut for non payment. what they are showing is pirate channells from India. I got this news from CC.so bye bye!

This is pathetic. i called comet and now they say it will be only in January. seems like it will never happen. GUYS i think its time to take a decision.
Comet is behaving like a bunch of jokers. They cannot even deliver my program guide on time. today its 14th and i still did not receive my schedule.
I think it is quite evident now that the announcement made by Comet in July 2007 regarding their digital service was a marketing ploy aimed at stemming the flow of their subscribers to other service providers. Unfortunately, apart from some publicity in the Program Guide and on their Web-Site, there has been no other tangible developments in this regard over the past 4 months.
The time has therefore come for each of us to decide whether to switch now to DTV/LBN/Dish or to wait for SLT's IPTV.
No matter what happens with comet, if you wish for a replacement its better to wait because DTV is too cost (have you visited their web site for latest price), LBN less coverage, No IPTV so far.
I guess you cant make any decision now
machan arnold what do you recon of the DTV set plans? for the same price i pay for cometi can get the a combination with additional channels than comet, but i am not sure of the DTV quality.

What you said was true,But as far as DTV concerned no one can tell for sure that this will Be the price for this period. Because they keep changing it. They have not even published on their web site.
I believe SLT will reduce the ADSL charge once IPTV introduce
First Comet stops the telecast of NTDV, then Animal Planet and today Cartoon Network is gone.

From yesterday TENSPORTS is missing. It is STAR CRICKET on that channel. Something is happening at COMET. Still no news about digital.
All sports channels are gone. Somthing is wrong at comet. It seems that they are gone.
Contacted customer care. They said that they will not be giving us any Sports Channel for this month. No reason was given for this state of affairs.
Looks like Comet Cable is crashing or has already crashed).
