Comet subscribers are being greatly inconvenienced by the sudden removal of further channels from their lineup. The subscribers are being robbed of their hard earned money by the removal of many top notch channels and replacing them with some lower quality channels but are still paying the same rental for lower quality channels.
Please keep us updated on the latest on Dialog TV as the days progress.
- Ten Sports is off air on Comet Cable and it seems that Comet Cable is saying that there is a problem with Ten Sports transmission but there are no problems with the reception on either Dialog TV/LBN.
- Cartoon Network went off air and has been replaced with Nick.
- Star Sports has been replaced with some low quality channel.
- Ten Sports replaced with DD Sports.
- ESPN has been taken off air.
- Animal Planet is also off air.

It seems COMET is dead and gone even the forum is dead.
yes it is. i am just stuck with them. soon as IPTV launch i will be moving to them. its shame privet company acting like this.
Now it's very difficult to get an ADSL line from SLT. They says no loops, modems are out of stock bla bla bla. Now we have to stay in a huge waiting list. Good luck for IPTV.

There is a free modem offer from SLT till end Dec. That is why they make a big fuss. If you have a SLT connection check your number in this website http://www.sltnet.lk/serviceareas.html for avalabilty. If so there can not be any problem to get a connection. Or you can call 1243 (free call) and get more information.

IPTV is draging for sometime. I hope they will start in February but not sure. Ther is no news about the whole thing, call 1243 you might get some information. Comet is cheating us badly.

As Per SLT website it's available but Maharagama & Nugegoda Teleshops told that loops are not available for 1000 & 2500 but managed reserve 2500 Pkg from LP teleshop but have to stay in a huge waiting list (Modems are out of stock). They asked me to buy a modem from outside if I want it urgently. GREAT FREE OFFER!

Did you check you number at the website. Are you going to get a new connection?. If it is a old number no need for loops it is just a matter of connecting. Forget about the free offer buy one. Go for a 2500/= if you surf a lot. 1000/= is not enough. Anyway call 1243 and get more information from them.
SLT must have backup plan to deploy IPTV. I dont think they will only use coper line to bring IPTV to our houses. we have to wait and see . i remember they promise lot on last infotel. CDMA EVDO .. ADSL + 2 .. these are spose to go to market before this year end.. as for them.. not sure why all this dragging ..
cometcable is one of biggest mistake on business world. management is bunch of crooks, staff is bunch of day dreamers have no clue what there boss's do. how the hell they survive all this time with out offering new plans.. new channels.. don't they want business to grow??
My number is an old one I don't know about this loop thing but that's what they told me. Why should i buy a modem if they are giving it free? If they can't give it free why are they advertising it? Anyway I'm not in a hurry I need this ADSL only mid January 08. So I'll wait and See.
free offer is till December 31st. i heard they air it one of radio station today also. i think they are running out of modems :) .
