We are however unable to confirm this and we request any Comet Subscriber to scan the information and email it to tvradiosrilanka@yahoo.com as soon as possible.
If this is true then it is great news for Comet subscribers and also for subscribers of other operators since increased competition would mean a better deal for the subscriber.

Yes they have given the plan and the launch is in September.The channel line up is amazing mostly the east asian feed channels that means less advertisements too.We knew comet will never let us down and and they will comeout with the best deal.Lookslike the indian management is better than scoobie doo.The ugrade is costing only Rs.5000.So what does our DTV bloggers hv to say.We have more good channels than DTV

ok guys,,finally comet has comeout from the shell.I got the monthly guide.The cover page ad says "comet digital" 60+ channels,free digital decorder, same antenna, no change is subscription,razor sharp pictures,lifelike surround sounds.,.,wow wow bravo..,. this is amzing.DTV hooo haaaa hoooo where you guys.,., its so disgusting to read the DTV blog.The fighting complaints, crying.So many.The launch is from September and they will inform their customers from next week how to register and upgrade.The channel line up will be 1000 times better than DTV.Weldone comet.

probably one person is putting all the false information above to mislead customers!
you cannot prove me wrong unless you answer ALL the below point professionally.
1. comet cannot get razor sharp pictures on a digital system as compression will be used.
2. even with compression, comet can fit only around 70 channels in to the current bandwidth if they are to have a good quality video. or else there will be more compression, and less quality.
3. if there are to be so many east asian channels, they wil have to face the daylight someday. east asian feeds are expensive for countries like sri lanka. too much for the current price.
4. slt must have cancelled the launch of slt wimax service. that is why comet still has all their bandwidth. dialog only has wimax services then, no slt wimax. I DONT THINK SO!
5. when did comet get a license to distribute high speed internet. this will need a lot of bandwidth and a backward path in the digital signal. mmds systems do not have a backward path, and therefore downloading will be high speed through mmds while upload will be very slow through telephone connection.
6. comet should not say "Dear Friends" in their letter. comet customers are customers, not exactly friends. proper company should not address their customers like this, unprofessionally.
7. comet digital was announced in around 2002. still no advancement. do you really think that they will suddenly launch without any indication of background upgrades?
8. first comment in this blog post said "ugrade is costing only Rs.5000". new comment says "free digital decorder". if decoder is free then why charge Rs. 5000 upgrade? too much for a free decoder and small upgrading work at offices.
9. first comment says "indian management is better than scoobie doo". scoobie was nothing, a completely useless moron. how can you compare an indian management to him at all? at least pay some respect to the indian idiots who bought out the company.
10. the above comments are all purely false information probably provided by one person in order to provoke dialog tv customers. almost every comment about this upgrade laughs at dialog tv and its customers.
11. no one can provide a proper scan of the advetisement and letter and whatever else. how can anyone prove it true?
please try to answer all the above points properly and truthfully and then maybe you can challenge me.
