Discovery Channel and Animal Planet have returned to Comet Cable according to unconfirmed sources. We believe that this was a payment problem and it seems that they have sorted it out. We hope that this does not happen again and all the renegotiation and payment are made before the contract expires. We are unable to confirm who the new owners of Comet Cable are. As soon as we have the information we will update this blog with it.
Comet is facing some severe competition from the likes of LBN and Dialog TV and soon competition will come from SLT IPTV. Comet should upgrade their broadcasting technology and provide their subscribers with a better choice.

i called comet cable and told that i intend to disconnect comet but i gave them a chance to tell me what their future plans are for me to give any consideration, a manager spoke to me and assured me that by end september, they will be going digital and will have a better line of channels than any other provider in sri lanka, and i was also told that the new management is Indian. tole me to bear with them till september and things will improve and I will have the best channel line up. So iam sure this new indian management is tring to do something and iam sure they will try to give us the comet customers the very best of services and channels in future. so ill just stick with them just for another couple of months and decide. LBN also promised me that they will be going island wide and also to the area that i live. so in another 2 months i have a choice. it could be comet ( if they stick as they promised) or LBN . but never DTV as i see a lot of problems DTV guys face and the attitude of customer care at DTV. so i will wait and see.......
O give me a break, for how long is comet going digital., and fi they are gonan do as they say, why arent they informing anything, already so many comet customers have gone to DTV or LBN, so why cant they try to prevent by aksing customers to give them more time, and in 2 months time lbn & dtv will have over 100 channles anyway.

i posted my above comment to interested parties so taht if they want they can inquire and find out more, you dont have to be upset about it. Interesting news on lbn blog regarding comet sub agents
Is anybody else experiencing very poor reception on many of the channels??? Channels like ESPN for the last few days are un-watchable, I have totally lost Ten sports and BBC world this morning started playing up........WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!

I do not experience a problem such as yours, may be something wrong with your antenna, better if you call the customer support.
In fact some of the channels are more clear to me than before. possibly the weather. anyway check it out with the customer care.
As for the above guy who commented as " see what i mean - Indian management" i would like to ask him to shut his gap and wait if he cannot help anyone in this blog. DTV is having so many problems and channels just vanish and cannot hear even HBO properly is it because of INDIAN management.
So who ever you are just get lost from this blog, without insulting others when you are having problems of your own shit!!

All channels are 100% clear.You better call the CC guys and they will assist you.
I agree with nickles some channels are more clearer now.I think they have improved their signal strenght.

i had decoder problem. they replaced it and told pretty soon they will fix digital decoders. was not worry about digital stuff. all channels are very clear.
Guys when they go digital and change the deoders will they change the antenna too ? will it be repalced by a dish ?

This following letter was sent to me from Eurosports for the enquiries I made regarding their channel. Eurosports is a good sports channel it was FTA for few days last week at ASIASAT 3S. Over to you admin to inform the 3 TV providers.
